Women's March Organizers Say Crowd Too Large To March

Organizers for the Women's March on Washington had hoped for record crowds and it would appear they succeeded their own expectations.

Early estimates from District officials places the number of people for the March around at least 500,000 and people continue to arrive.

Due to this influx of people, the planned route from the Rally stand to the White House is now filled with people, preventing a formal "march" from taking place.

Organizers have instructed participants to follow the numbered streets to the Ellipse as best they can.
