Three months ago, Alex Trebek took a moment out of hosting "Jeopardy!" to reveal some devastating news: the 78-year-old had stage 4 cancer.
If you know anything about cancer, you know that when someone tells you that they're in 'stage 4' that more than likely means they're near the end of their life. It's absolutely heartbreaking. When he revealed it to fans, he said that he would fight; and fight is EXACTLY what he's done.
He's revealed that some of his tumors have shrunk by 50 PERCENT, which means that he's near remission and that he's been responding VERY well to chemotherapy.
His type of cancer has a 9% survival rate but he told People, "The doctors said they hadn't seen this kind of positive result in their memory..."
