Joaquin Phoenix was a Golden Globe award for 'Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drma' on Sunday night. About 5 days later, he gets arrested in DC.
According to EW, Phoenix "was attending Jane Fonda's final Fire Drill Friday demonstration at the steps of the U.S. Capitol, standing alongside fellow actors Fonda, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Susan Sarandon, and Amber Valletta to advocate for the government to take action on a Green New Deal."
Today is the last gathering at the steps of the U.S. Capitol, but Fonda is expected to announce updates on more strikers.
