Justin Timberlake played at Pharrell's Something in the Water Festival in DC this past weekend and he made waves for part of his performance...but it wasn't necessarily for the right reasons 😅
Video of Timberlake attempting DC's signature beat ya feet dance style on stage went viral as he moved his feet to the tune of his hit single "Sexyback."

Those were comments left among others in response to his attempts at the style of dance.
According to Beat Ya Feet Academy, the style is described as "...an art form of dance that originated in Washington, DC and is performed mostly to go-go music, a rhythmic, percussion dependent style of music (mostly played by local District bands). Beat Ya Feet has evolved overtime through the creativity of DC’s local talent."
Timberlake took to his Instagram stories to address the video.
"DC, I want to apologize to you for two reasons," he said before sharing that the two reasons were his feet 😂
"I had a long talk with both of them individually and said don't you ever do that to me again."
He went on to blame it on his khakis before saying he would make it up to the city.
"I'm going to focus on these two guys right here and get them right."
