A woman posted on reddit explaining that her brother & his wife skipped out on their own wedding reception without telling ANYONE in the groom's family.
The poster says that her brother and his new wife decided to change their plans and leave for their honeymoon instead of going to their reception. They only told one friend who broke the news to guests. The poster buried the lead, however, and revealed the real reason they decided to do this was because one of the other brother's and his GF were going to announce they were pregnant and wanted to get married at the reception. The groom's parents knew about it and were apparently on board, but they never asked the bride or groom.
It sounds like they caught wind of this plan to upstage or ruin their wedding and decided to avoid the drama and leave on their own will to their honeymoon. I'm honestly not mad at them for doing that. The free dinner & gossip alone would've been enough for me to not be mad at them as a guest.
