Be a part of the HOTTEST promotions team in Washington!

HOT 99.5 is now giving you a way to be a part of the inner workings of a major market radio station, providing exposure to promotions, programming and sales. We’re looking for enthusiastic, outgoing and hard-working people who enjoy TOP 40 music and are good at interacting with all types of people.

Become a HOT 99.5 Intern

HOT Promotions Interns are expected to work 12-15 hours per week and must be available nights and weekends. We require all applicants to be current, full-time students and you must receive school credit for this position.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

• Work closely with Promotions Coordinator and on-air personalities with the planning and execution of on-site promotions.
• Assist Marketing and Promotions Director with the creation of innovative marketing and promotion strategies.
• Write copy that will be read over the air.
• Possibly participate in on-air station commercials.
• Handle on-site and on-air contesting.
• Get school credit for going to concerts, clubs, movies, and other station related appearances! (School Credit is Required)
• Non-paid (parking and station related expenses will be paid)
• Station located in Rockville, MD
• Be a team member of 99.5 FM’s Promotions team by interacting with station listeners.

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to earn school (college) credit; must provide signed letter from school supervisor
• Faculty letter of recommendation
• Minimum of 12-15 hours per week (150 hour minimum for the semester)
• Provide cover letter and current resume
• Undergraduate/graduate student status

Be a Clear Channel Radio Digital Intern!

Be a Programming Intern!

Wanna intern for one of Hot 99.5's DJ's?

Wanna learn what goes on behind the scenes at a radio station?

  • The HOT 99.5 Programming department is currently seeking applicants for internships.
  • Students must earn academic credit from a bona fide education facility which may include, but is not limited to, a university, community college, trade school.
  • Internships are nonpaid.
  • Applicants should have a serious, strong interest in radio broadcasting.
  • Candidates should be available for a minimum of 12 hours a week during business hours (8:30am-6pm) and the evening between the hours of 6-10pm.
  • Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel are needed.
  • Interns will assist with music research, show prep, and overall programming of the radio station.
  • No Groupies please!

Wanna learn what goes on behind the scenes at the best morning show in DC?
The Kane Show is currently seeking applicants for internships.
  • Students must earn academic credit from a bona fide education facility which may include, but is not limited to, a university, community college, trade school.
  • Internships are nonpaid.
  • Applicants should have a serious, strong interest in radio broadcasting.
  • Candidates should be available for a minimum of 12 hours a week during the morning show 5:45am - 10:00am.
  • Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel are needed.
  • Interns will assist with show prep, phone screening and other tasks dealing with the KANE Show.
