Can we please have a moment of silence?! A morsel of sweet goodness died today.

These savory spongy yellow lumps of goodness with a sweet creamy white center will be a thing of the past shortly. Hostess has decided to shut down all operations today due to an employee strike. And sadly, it's not a temporary thing.

Hostess is shutting down operations for good.

This is the worst news I have ever had to share. It's worse than when I found out Milli Vanilli didn't sing their own songs. This is worse that Showgirls or any other 80's and 90's reference I can think of.

These delicious snack cakes were the basis of my childhood. Yeah, I am a fat kid. I like fat kid things. Twinkies were my fat kid bread and butter after I had my bread and butter.

Even worse, we are saying good bye to Ding Dongs, Ho-Ho's, SnoBalls and even Wonder Bread. WONDER FRICKIN BREAD!

It's a travesty.

I mean, what will 7-Eleven sell from now on?! Their shelves will be bare! ALL OF THEM!
