Props to Microsoft.
They've made a pretty catchy video to promote their Internet Explorer, which reminds the viewer that "you met in the 90's."
It's called "Child of the 90's..."
But will it work?
While it's a nostalgic trip down memory lane... a touching, Apple-esque presentation, with a smooth narration and interesting tidbits from the past...
But...
Much like reminding someone of why they dumped an ex... the video takes you through the good times... the fun times...
... but it omits the reasons why Microsoft's IE has become, well, the browser no one wants to use anymore.
They've even disabled comments on it's YOUTUBE channel... because in Redmond, well, they must know that people would remind them of the reasons for the breakup.
You know the reasons...
... viruses they gave you.
... security flaws and whatnot.
And, they probably know that those who have moved on from the 90's might want to champion their new signifigant others. The Safari users. The Chrome users...
... and the oh so sexy FIREFOX users.
Sure... we met in the 90's. You were our someone once. Our everything...
But it's 2013, IE... and while it was good once... we've moved on.
