REVIEW TIME FUN FANS who were either at the concert or are REGRETTING EVERY FIBER OF THEIR BEING FOR NOT BEING THERE!
Alright, so last night, fun. ROCKED DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC. It's personal story time from Intern Jenny.
Four years ago at the 930 club, I watched this random band called "fun." open up for Jack's Mannequin and fell in love with Nate Ruess, "The Gambler," and the band who used to be "The Format."
For the next four years I became one of those crazy fun. fangirls and was unabashedly incredibly proud of it. Last night was my third time seeing fun., and I was DAMN PROUD of how much fame they have gained. And hell if they don't deserve it.

So first was a sound check that I had the chance to attend. There were maybe 20 of us sitting in this, like, 10,000 person auditorium watching Nate, Andrew and Jack run their sound check. So at 4 PM, we already knew it was gonna be kick a$$.
So after meeting them, an experience which I can't even deal with in proper words, 10,000 of us merched up, bought our beers and parked it in the stadium. And dudes... it was ON.
After none other than Jack's Mannequin performed as their opener. LET'S TAKE A MINUTE TO APPRECIATE THAT. Four years ago, Jack's gave fun. the chance to open for them when no one knew who they were. Last night, Jack's did fun. a solid by performing their final tour performance with the band they had helped LAUNCH INTO NOTORIETY at fun.'s sold out concert. POETRY, PEOPLE.
Alright, so for concert review. Nothing but net. From the epic beginnings with "Out on the Town" as the word "Fun." spread across and enormous screen, to the psychotic lights and lazers during "It Gets Better," the entire stadium buzzed with INSANE ENERGY all night long.
There were the beautiful moments too, as Nate sang out "The Gambler" about his 'rents and hit a ONE OF A KIND HIGH NOTE during the ever popular "Some Nights." And of course, "Carry On" was beautiful. And if you, by the way, DON'T KNOW THE WORD TO EVERY SONG I MENTION, y'all should.

Rockin' out with "All The Pretty Girls," the band's sumo-number "We Are Young," the band deserved their TEN MINUTE ENCORE CHEER once the performance was over. They BANGED back on stage with "One Foot" and wrapped up with the band's torch song, "Stars."
EVERY DAMN FAN left with smiles on their faces. "Fun" is an understatement when describing the band of the same name. Rarely do we see a band with real music, lyrics that actually TALK ABOUT THE REAL STUFF, and a beat so original that you never want them to stop playing.
Kudos, fun. And Congrats on everything you deserve. From my fangirlishness and knowledge of their every word to the kids who were only there to see "We Are Young," the fun. fandom thanks you for your EPIC SHOW and is proud of how y'all have grown as a band in the past several years.
