I'm writing this post to you after one of our fans asked me to do so via Twitter. She's not happy, and I can see why.
Now... buckle up because I'm about to spit some truth about some things... related to the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
I've had so many of you hit me on Twitter about the iHeartRadio Music Festival... and I hear you and can feel your excitement. I'm jacked, too. It's going to be a pretty iconic evening as an already legendary musical event becomes... historic.
And it bums me out to see things like this. If you click the link, you'll get to one of these ticket-scalper type sites which offer you tickets to things which sell out for UNGODLY prices.
AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY CAN CLAIM TO SELL TICKETS FOR THESE PRICES WHEN THE TICKETS AREN'T EVEN ON SALE YET.
It's nuts. Ridiculous. But it's also what they do... and business is business and I guess people are in the business of doing business... even though it's STRAIGHT SHADY to say you have tickets that haven't even gone on sale yet.
What can you do? Not much. I guess it takes political pressure and legislation to reign this stuff in. Don't get me started. I could go OFF about things in the live music business... and nickle and dime type fees and stuff... but I'm not Bob Leftsetz and better him than me to pop off on that stuff which totally ROBS music fans...
I'll stick to the Festival... and if you want to go to the festival... and you don't want to pay through the nose to get tickets... you can:
1) Wait to win on the station. We've got chances for you to do so every few minutes... so keep listening!
2) You can also try to buy 'em SATURDAY when they go on sale. Click the link for more details, okay? There's also a link here for you to click to try to win your way to Vegas, too!
I'm sorry that these scalper-types do what they do and make you angry about things... I get that stuff can get expensive and you're just a music fan... and I know, trust me, how we all have bills to pay and more. Just know I hear you... and I'll promise you that I'll say something to the people up the ladder who can maybe possibly do something about this sort of stuff...
... because after all... you are the reason we do these things. And we do want you to have the best experience possible.
Thanks for reading.
